conditions return as we await stormy weather. >> karen rogers, matt pellman joins us we'll have the humidity kicked up a notch. >> reporter: yesterday it was nice. >> reporter: and you know, what there will not a lot of areas that get wet. you feel the difference in the air mass. we have showers west of the city. they are moving up to the north and east, so you may expect that to hit parts of the region today. let's look at the numbers through the area, though, storm tracker 6 live double scan showing you a better look at some of the showers, they are currently in harrisburg right now in gettysburg and pottsville, and not in reading and allentown just yet. a couple of light sprinkles moving through. though we have mostly cloudy skies and chance of a shower, many areas are dry. not as cool as that. 67 in the city. 68 in allentown. 65 in atlantic city.

66 in dover. today you'll see clouds and sunny breaks. lunchtime, 80. 3:00 p.m., 82 degrees. 5:00 p.m., 81. 7:00 p.m., 78 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. we'll not see a lot of showers or thunderstorm. the storm prediction center has areas in the lehigh valley, poconos, allentown, reading, lancaster any one of these storms to become strong. >> reporter: all right, karen we've seen several overnight accidents that have cleared out. leaving us with a construction zones. 422 at 23, everything is gone they have gotten the overturned vehicle out of the way. both lanes open by valley forge. open on the westbound side of the vine expressway.

eastbound side is open, as well. there's a car off the eastbound schuylkill expressway on to the eastbound vine indicating everything is reopen on 676. 76 all reopen after work in both directions. this is the eastbound zone approaching the blue route. watch out for uneven lanes, but the crews are out of there. work southbound off the betsy ross bridge. and northbound in delaware, two right lanes near the service area that's going for the next half-hour. a man was shot seven times as he sat at a traffic light in the somerdale section overnight, the gunman sped off as the passer by helped the victim get to the hospital. scott ask the is live at einstein hospital where the victim is being treated. the motive is under investigation. there were witnesses they were taken to northeast detectives to be interviewed. the victim was taken to einstein

medical center. he is undergoing surgery. he is in critical condition. let's go to video from somerdale, investigators on the scene overnight gathering evidence from the shooting that happened late last night. around 11:00 p.m., multiple 911 calls came in for a shooting on somerdale avenue in east cheltenham. witnesses say the 24-year-old victim was driving his volvo south on somerdale. he was at the traffic light when a vehicle going north pulled up next to him. the driver fired multiple shots through the window into the victim's car. when police arrived a civilian was rendering aid to the victim. he was rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his left arm and torso. three shots were fired from a large caliber semi automatic weapon. three spent shell casings were found at the intersection. >> there's a strike mark on the

driver door of the victim's vehicle. the driver door window is shot out, as well as the passenger door window was shot out. >> reporter: and there were surveillance cameras nearby the shooting scene, so investigators are hoping to be able to pull footage to help in the investigation. live in olney, katherine scott channel 6 "action news." jennette. >> thank you. a pedestrian was struck and killed trying to cross route 38 in cherry hill. chopper 6 hd was above the scene shortly after it happened near long wood avenue at 10:30. bliss blocked off two -- police blocked off two lanes after the accident while they investigated. the driver stopped following the crash. president trump is not backing down from his previous threat to bring fire and fury to north korea if it continues to taunt the u.s. the president said maybe the statement was not tough enough. north korea claims it is finalizing plans to launch 4 missels to strike near guam.

these are the northbound zones here, up around business one they were restricting traffic, they are no longer. you're good to go up near the scullers false bridge and -- securities false bridge and i-95 -- scutter falls bridge. they are working on a ramp eastbound side of the pennsylvania turnpike, to go north, 476 the northeast extension, watch out for restrictions there. the restrictions between valley forge and malvern have been lifted. the crews have cleared out and speeds are in the mid 60s. good to go at this point with no issues on 422 after the overnight westbound crash cleared out of the way, everything is reopened. let's head to south jersey, 70 in cherry hill no restrictions in the eastbound lanes heading toward 295. they are out of there. farther east in burlington county there's work between 206

and the four mile circle of. evesham and winslow on 73 a lot set of construction there with restrictions until 6:00 a.m. this incredible video shows a train smash into a big rig stuck on the railroad tracks south of atlanta, georgia. another driver captured the video. the 18 wheeler ignored several warning signs, the freight train slammed into the trailer that was that was hauling attend. the driver of the big rig got out in time and was was not hurt. sunbathers on a spain issue beach were surprised when a boat of migrants came ashore. le rubber did i thinky was packed with -- dingy was packed with migrants. they grabbed their belongings and ran up the beach. >> from our delaware newsroom.

nine staff members from the james t.bond correctional center is on leave following an incident with an inmate. they say the workers were suspended after the inmate was taken to the infirmary. you may remember a guard at the prison was killed and three other staffers taken hostage during an inmate uprising there. eagles fell to the packers in their first preseason game. carson wentz went 4 for 4 for 65 yards and scored in his first and only series. he avoided tackle and connected with matt collins for a 62-yard touchdown. the birds managed a field goal in the third quarter. green bay put up 24 points on the board and delivered the loss. phillies paid tribute to

>> reporter: meanwhile, weather is cooperating for our morning commute on this friday. as we head outside, it's nice and dry, overnight construction has cleared in chester, delaware county. they were working in the southbound lanes of i-95 near curlin street. they are not doing that any more. ten minutes on the work in delaware, i-95 northbound near the service area and 5:30 a.m. the zone along 273 eastbound should clear out. on the mass transit front this morning just a couple of regional rail delays. if you ride the airport line keep in mind you'll be on the buses again all weekend long. karen. >> reporter: let's take a look at the forecast for you right now. looks like today we're going to be relatively dry and humid at the shore. a couple of showers around. saturday we could see showers and thunderstorms, lots of clouds, sunday it will be sunny and pleasant that's a change in the forecast down the shore. saturday, wet, you've already had a lot of rain there. sunday, pleasant. today, humid, possibility of a thunderstorm in the poconos.
